Detroit, MI (August 12, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department received a complaint about an accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon, August 12, at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Lapeer Road.
According to the reports from the Michigan Department of Transportation, the incident took place in the northbound lanes of I-75 at 3:15 p.m. in the afternoon.
The Detroit Police Department erected a cordon around the area and sought medical assistance from local paramedics. The DPD's initial reports suggest that at least two vehicles were involved in a collision that appears to have been a rear-end wreck; however, the specifics of the accident, as well as information regarding the drivers, have not been made public at this time.
The investigation has been turned over to the traffic division of the DPD, which will continue to keep the public apprised of any new developments.
