Detroit, MI - Hit-and-Run at McNichols Rd & Outer Dr Leads to Injuries, Police Investigation

Detroit, MI (August 13, 2023) - Local officers stated that the junction of McNichols Road and Outer Drive was closed after a hit-and-run that caused injuries and resulted in an immediate on-scene investigation in the Detroit area on Saturday evening, August 12.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, one of which fled the scene after the incident occurred. According to officers with the Detroit Police Department, the two collided for unknown reasons. Officers added that a DEMS Medic 16 was involved in the wreck as well, and no techs were injured, but witnesses reported that at least one other victim was being assessed for injuries at the scene.

Witnesses with additional information were asked to contact the Detroit PD. No new information has been disclosed to the public in the interim, though police say that the inquiry is still continuing.
