Royal Oak, MI (August 14, 2023) - A Ford F-150 pickup truck has been identified as the vehicle that crashed into a Royal Oak apartment complex, killing at least one person, according to police.
An elderly man apparently suffered a medical emergency and then struck another car before crashing into the building at the intersection of Coolidge Highway and Trafford Road on Thursday, setting off a chain-reaction crash, per local authorities.
One of the residents was affected by minor injuries, though they are expected to recover. Police have yet to identify the total number of injuries, as well as the deceased victim.
An accident investigation is ongoing and active in the interim.
