Detroit, MI - Injury Rear-End Wreck on I-696 at Dequindre Rd

Detroit, MI (August 16, 2023) - On Wednesday afternoon, August 16th, at least one individual was harmed in a rear-end crash in Detroit.

Officers were sent to the intersection of I-696 and Dequindre Road about 3:45 p.m. The Detroit Police Department then called for medical help and notified the Michigan State Police via local dispatchers. Highway right lanes were closed after an incident involving a tow vehicle that reportedly rear-ended a pickup truck.

It is unclear how many persons were harmed, despite the presence of paramedics at the scene of the accident. The DPD has asked for any potential witnesses to get in touch with them so they may continue their investigation.
