Detroit, MI - Multi-Vehicle Wreck w/Injuries on M-39 at Warren Ave

Detroit, MI (August 17, 2023) - The Michigan Department of Transportation reports that many vehicles were involved in a collision on northbound Michigan Highway 39 on Thursday afternoon, August 17.

Emergency medical technicians, Detroit police officers, and Michigan State Police troopers all showed up to the scene at about 3:50 p.m. Authorities reported that many left and right lanes were closed after the Warren Avenue exit as police examined the situation. Although it is yet unknown how seriously injured the victims are, paramedics were sent to the scene of the accident to assess the situation.

Any potential eyewitnesses were requested to contact the authorities. Authorities from the DPD and MSP are now handling the investigation into the collision.
