Macomb, MI – I-94 Accident Reported near Metro Parkway

Delta Township, MI (August 21, 2023) - An accident on West Saginaw Highway at Waverly Road forced its closure on Monday morning, August 21, according to reports from local officers on the scene.

Just before 6:30 a.m. on Monday, authorities shut down the roadway. By 7:30 a.m., the road had been cleared and reopened, though officers were investigating a possible hit-and-run in relation to the wreck.

EMTs, multiple police vehicles, and local fire rescue officials were all seen at the scene of the event, but it is also unclear how many people were hurt. Authorities did not say if they apprehended the suspect hit-skip motorist.

In the interim, the Delta Township Police Department is asking that anybody with knowledge about the collision get in touch with them.
