Detroit, MI (August 22, 2023) - On Monday morning, August 22, officers from the Detroit Police Department were dispatched to I-94 eastbound after receiving a report of an accident with injuries.
Just before 11:50 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, not far from the exit and off-ramp to I-75, a multi-vehicle accident occurred, as reported by the DPD and the Michigan DOT. The incident, which officials suspect involved two drivers and a handful of passengers, prompted the closure of all lanes of traffic and the subsequent dispatch of first responders.
Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter, but officials haven't commented on the victims' current conditions.
Meanwhile, police are still looking into the crash and will provide any additional information as it becomes available.
