Detroit, MI (August 22, 2023) - On the evening of Tuesday, August 22nd, police in Detroit responded to reports of an automobile collision with injuries that had blocked both lanes of Michigan Highway 89 between 21st and 22nd Streets.
There was an accident between two exits, and all right and left lanes were closed, according to an incident notice issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation. The Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police arrived and began their investigation at around 9:00 p.m.
The Detroit Police Department has also called for medical aid, however, it's unknown how many individuals were hurt. The present status of the victims who were evaluated by EMTs at the site is still unclear.
The DPD is still trying to piece together what happened, and they need your help finding any potential witnesses.
