Detroit, MI (August 25, 2023) - On Thursday morning, several vehicles collided on Interstate 94 in Jackson County, and a few of the drivers involved were reportedly hurt.
Michigan State Police reported that before 2:00 a.m. on August 24th, a vehicle in the left lane of westbound I-94 between Parma Road and Michigan Highway 60 collided with another car, forcing them off the interstate. The motorist pulled over to the side of the road and got out, abandoning his vehicle there. Shortly thereafter, a trucker overturned after hitting another vehicle while swerving to avoid the first driver's car.
The injured victims were sent to Henry Ford Hospital for treatment, according to the police, but the total number of people hurt was not released.
Officers believe that alcohol may have contributed to the wreck, though their investigation remains active and ongoing in the interim.
