Detroit, MI - Fiery Rollover Crash, Injuries on I-696 at Groesbeck Rd

Detroit, MI (August 26, 2023) - On Saturday, August 26, during the later evening hours, there was a vehicle collision on Interstate 696 in the Detroit area that injured at least one person.

After the Groesbeck Road exit, officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to the scene of the fiery rollover accident, located on the eastbound left side of the interstate. Around 11:30 p.m., local Detroit police officers began their on-site investigation and assisted Michigan State Police personnel before the arrival of the paramedics.

Although EMTs evaluated the wounded at the site of the accident, it is yet unclear how many people were hurt. The MSP, who is in charge of the investigation, is looking to speak with anybody who may be able to provide additional information.
