Detroit, MI (August 28, 2023) - On Monday morning, August 28, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision in the Detroit area.
Detroit Police Department officers responded to an accident involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of 12 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
Officers who arrived on the site reported that the motorcyclist, identified only as an adult male, died shortly thereafter. It's unclear if the driver of the other vehicle stayed at the scene, though DPD officers are continuing their ongoing investigation into the crash.
Witnesses were asked to call local authorities in the interim.
