Detroit, MI (August 28, 2023) - On Monday afternoon, August 28, it was reported that at least one person had been injured in what appeared to be a multi-vehicle crash on a nearby Detroit-area roadway.
Officers were dispatched to I-94 westbound after 9 Mile Road at around 3:00 p.m. After nearly all lanes in the area were closed, Detroit Police Department officers radioed for medical assistance and made contact with Michigan State Police troopers through local dispatchers.
Despite the fact that paramedics have treated at least a handful of injured victims, the total number of injuries is still unclear. The DPD requests that any potential witnesses contact them and assist with their investigation.
