Van Buren Township, MI (August 29, 2023) - A man from Ypsilanti was killed, and three others were injured Sunday night, August 27, when their car rolled over in Van Buren Township.
Around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, a report came in concerning a rollover accident on westbound I-94 near a rest area in Van Buren Township.
Authorities initially investigated the incident as a wrong-way crash, though circumstances surrounding the wreck are still unclear. An autopsy confirmed the death of a 23-year-old man from Ypsilanti. Two people, a woman aged 20 and a man aged 23, remain in serious condition at a local hospital. A second woman, also aged 20, was hospitalized in fair condition.
No other details were made available, though officials continue their inquiry.
