Detroit, MI (August 30, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department was called to the site of a multi-car collision on I-696 on the evening of August 30.
An alleged two-vehicle incident, as reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation for Macomb County, has blocked down the leftmost lanes of the interstate just before the 11 Mile Road exit. A team from the Detroit Police Department and another from the Michigan State Police arrived at the location at about 2:35 p.m. to begin their investigation.
It's unclear how many police officers or citizens were injured, but the Detroit Police Department also requested medical aid.
DPD detectives are finishing up witness interviews and analyzing the results of their investigation. There have been no more developments since then.
