Detroit, MI (August 30, 2023) - On Wednesday morning, August 30, several vehicles collided on a highway in the Detroit area, injuring at least one person.
The accident, first reported at 8:45 a.m., occurred at the ramp connecting northbound Highway 23 and Michigan Avenue. According to preliminary accounts, the accident completely closed up the highway. Detroit Police Department officers contacted local emergency medical technicians and troopers from the Michigan State Police for help with the investigation via radio.
Paramedics attended to the wounded, while the exact number of casualties is unknown at this time. The DPD is appealing to any possible witnesses to come forward.
