Detroit, MI (August 31, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department was sent to the scene of a multi-car accident that blocked almost all left lanes and some right lanes of northbound I-75 on Thursday, August 31.

According to a report from the Michigan Department of Transportation for Oakland County, a two-car collision that occurred just before Adams Road caused the closure of most lanes on the freeway. The Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police began their investigation at the scene around 12:35 p.m.

The Detroit Police Department also called for medical assistance; however, it is yet unknown how many officers were injured.

The DPD's investigation is winding down, and detectives are interviewing potential witnesses. Since then, no other details have been revealed.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with the wounded and their families at this time.
