Bath Township, MI (September 2, 2023) - On Saturday at around 4:20 p.m., a vehicle caught fire on Interstate 69 not far from Peacock Road following a serious car accident.

The vehicle fire started in the grass median of eastbound and westbound I-69 around a mile from exit 98. Troopers with the Michigan State Police and the Bath Township Fire Department both responded.

The blaze was extinguished after about 30 minutes, though the investigation into the cause of the incident is still ongoing in the meantime. The total number of victims is also unknown, but EMTs were spotted via news footage assessing injured victims.
