Hopkins Township Motorcycle Accident

Grand Rapids, MI (September 2, 2023) - An accident on Saturday night, September 2, in Grand Rapids sent one man to the hospital.

According to authorities, the incident took place at about 10:45 p.m. on Division Street, close to Plaster Creek Boulevard. A motorcyclist heading north on Division Street was struck from behind by a car.

One suspect, per police officers, was detained. Police suspect speed and drinking played a role in the collision, though an investigation remains ongoing. Witnesses with additional information were asked to contact Officer Thompson with the Grand Rapids Police Department.

No further details have been released in the interim.
