Detroit, MI (September 3, 2023) - At least one person was hurt and both lanes of traffic were blocked on Michigan State Route 33 on the evening of September 3.

The Popps Road exit was closed in both directions after an accident happened at around 10:15 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies from the Oscoda County Sheriff's Department discovered that two vehicles had been involved in an accident. The identity of the victims and the events leading up to the tragedy are yet unknown.

Authorities have not revealed any details regarding the health of those who were treated at the site of the crash by paramedics.

The inquiry into the causes of the accident is currently active and continuing.
