Detroit, MI (September 3, 2023) - On Sunday afternoon, September 3, several vehicles collided at the Dixie Highway exit, closing the southbound lanes of Interstate 75.

Officers were sent to the scene promptly by the Detroit Police Department. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation's report for the Genessee County area, at least two or three automobiles were engaged in the event that caused the closure of the whole highway.

Around 4 o'clock, police from Detroit and the Michigan State Police came to begin their investigation. The Detroit Police Department also sent in medical help, although the exact toll of casualties is unknown at this time.

The DPD is wrapping up witness interviews and moving on with their investigation.
