Mecosta Twnshp, MI - Two Hurt in Motorcycle Wreck at Northland Dr & 8 Mile

Mecosta Township, MI (September 4, 2023) - Two persons were sent to the hospital after a collision between a passenger car driver and a motorcycle in Mecosta Township on Friday.

Mecosta County Sheriff's Office deputies said it happened at 6:00 p.m. between Northland Drive and 8 Mile Road. It is alleged that a 22-year-old guy from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, pulled out in front of a motorcyclist heading south on Northland Drive.

A 78-year-old motorcyclist from Big Rapids collided with the side of another car. Both the driver and passenger, a 77-year-old lady, suffered critical injuries and were taken to the hospital immediately. Everyone in the automobile escaped harm.

Police have not released any new information as they continue their investigation into the accident.
