Detroit, MI (September 6, 2023) - Michigan State Police troopers and local police officers using the Macomb County scanner reported a significant accident involving two automobiles on I-696 in Detroit on the afternoon of September 6.

According to the MSP report, one of the drivers was evaluated for injuries and sent to a local hospital for treatment. Officers began their investigation immediately after the crash was reported at 2:30 p.m., and they have now concluded their investigation, but they have not released any information regarding the fatalities.

The road was blocked before the Mound Road off-ramp, but it is now open again after being cleaned up. The investigation into the mishap's origins is still conducted at this moment.
