Detroit, MI (September 8, 2023) - On Friday morning, September 8, officers with the Detroit Police Department received an accident alert and a report of injuries at the scene of a multiple-vehicle collision on northbound I-275.
The Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation report that the accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. near the Highway 12 southbound exit. Reports of a crash involving many vehicles and a small group of people prompted officials to close lanes of traffic and call for backup.
All wounded individuals were immediately attended to by paramedics; however, it is yet unclear how they are doing. The authorities are still looking into the crash and will provide further details when they become available.
