Detroit, MI (September 12, 2023) - On Tuesday afternoon, September 12, officers with the Detroit Police Department responded to a multiple-vehicle accident on Highway 16 after receiving a crash alert and a complaint of injuries.
According to the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation, the collision took place at around 12:45 p.m. in the area near the Schoenherr Highway. After hearing reports of a collision involving two cars and a small group of people, authorities shut down lanes of traffic and asked for reinforcements.
Paramedics treated all injured parties soon after the event, although it is unknown how they are faring now. The police investigation into the collision continues, and more information will be made public when it becomes available.
