Detroit, MI (September 14, 2023) - Multiple cars collided at a local intersection on Thursday morning, September 14, closing several lanes in the area.
After receiving reports from dispatchers, the Detroit Police Department sent a number of units to the scene. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation in the Macomb County area, at least two or three drivers were involved in the crash, which ultimately caused a rollover and the closure of most lanes at the intersection of 21 Mile Road and Card Road.
At about 6:50 a.m., Detroit police and Michigan State Police officers arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. It is unknown how many individuals were hurt; however, Detroit-area EMTs also responded to assess the victims.
As they wrap up their interviews with potential witnesses, DPD investigators are pressing forward with their inquiry. No additional details were provided to the public in the meantime.
