Detroit, MI - Injury-Causing Wreck on I-94 at 8 Mile Rd

Detroit, MI (September 20, 2023) - On Wednesday, September 20, two or three drivers crashed head-on on westbound Interstate 94 in the city of Detroit, resulting in at least one injury.

At around 12:15 p.m., an accident occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near the 8 Mile Road exit. When the Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived, they discovered that two or three drivers were involved in the collision. They did, however, initially withhold further details about the casualties and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Emergency medical technicians were sent to the incident site to evaluate the injured; however, details about the extent of the injuries and the victims' current state have not been released to the public.

Although no new details have been released, the joint investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit police is still underway.
