Gaines Township, MI (September 22, 2023) - On Friday, the sheriff's office in Kent County reported that one of its deputies had been hurt in an accident.
According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the officer was involved in a car accident near the intersection of 68th Street and Kalamazoo Avenue while responding to a 911 call.
Paramedics were sent to the scene to check on the injured shortly thereafter. The deputy and the other motorist were both hurt and taken to a nearby hospital but are expected to recover.
The investigation by the Kent County Sheriff's Office is ongoing, but no new information has been made public.
