Pavilion Twnshp, MI - Injuries Recorded in Mobile Home Fire Near Comstock

St. Joseph, MI (September 23, 2023) - The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office says a 66-year-old man was discovered inside a burning home and later died due to his injuries.

St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office officers responded to a fire call in the 13000 block of Riverside Drive in Constantine Township at 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.

According to a press statement from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office, the house was completely destroyed by the fire. Police claimed they took the 66-year-old man from the house, and he was later declared deceased.

The origin of the fire is still under investigation. Undersheriff Jason Bingaman said that the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office had help from the Constantine Fire Department, the White Pigeon Fire Department, the Michigan State Police, the White Pigeon Police Department, and Life Care Ambulance during the initial inquiry.
