Detroit, MI (October 5, 2023) - On Thursday morning, October 5, at least two vehicles crashed on a roadway in the Detroit region, injuring at least one person.

Police were called to the 12 Mile Road area in front of Macomb Community College at 9:30 a.m. for a reported collision, which blocked all lanes of the roadway near the 12 Mile crosswalk. Detroit police officers reached out to local emergency medical services and Michigan state police for help with the investigation.

It is unclear how many people were hurt in the accident; however, emergency medical services responded quickly to the scene. The DPD is asking anyone with information to come forward.

The DPD is now leading the inquiry.
