Detroit, MI - Woman Dies, Four Hurt in Vehicle Wreck on Lodge Fwy

Detroit, MI (October 6, 2023) - Authorities have released further details in connection with a fatal crash that took place on Monday, October 2, along the Lodge Freeway.

The crash happened when a driver collided with a box truck that was stopped on the side of the roadway, with part of it sticking out into the right lanes of traffic.

A woman was killed, and one other adult and three children were injured. The four injured victims were hospitalized but are expected to recover.

An investigation remains underway in the meantime, and local officers asked any witnesses to get in touch.
