Detroit, MI - Injury-Causing Collision on I-96 Near Davison Ave

Detroit, MI (October 9, 2023) - On the afternoon of Monday, October 9, at least one person was hurt in an accident involving two or three vehicles in the area of eastbound Interstate 96.

At around 2:00 p.m., an accident happened at the juncture of I-96 at Davison Avenue, apparently when traffic slowed, and a rear-end wreck took place. Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies who responded to the scene found evidence of a collision involving at least two drivers, but investigators haven't determined what caused the crash.

Although emergency medical services were sent to the scene, details about the victims' current conditions and the severity of their injuries remain unknown.

The investigation by Wayne officials and the Detroit Police Department is ongoing, but no new information has been provided to the public at this time.
