Flint, MI – EMS Called to Injury Crash on E Ruth Ave at N Saginaw St

Kalamazoo, MI (October 9, 2023) - The right lane of eastbound I-94 closed Sunday afternoon due to a crash, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation's Drive Map.

The crash was reported at 5:30 p.m. after the Sprinkle Road exit, or Exit 80, and involved the drivers of two passenger sedans. The accident scene was closed once deputies from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office arrived. However, authorities did not release specific details about the crash's victims and their conditions.

Although emergency medical responders were sent to the scene to evaluate the victims and bring those seriously injured to the hospital, it is unknown how severe their injuries or current conditions are.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit Police Department are conducting a joint investigation. Deputies and local law enforcement are now interviewing potential witnesses.
