Detroit, MI (October 18, 2023) - On Wednesday afternoon, October 18, authorities with the Detroit Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that involved a hit-and-run driver.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, a pedestrian was hit and seriously injured at the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue. It's unclear how many people were involved in the incident, but EMTs were spotted transferring at least one victim from the scene for further treatment at an area hospital.

The collision has been reported to the Macomb County Accident Investigation team and is still being reviewed in the interim.
