Grand Rapids, MI (October 18, 2023) - The Grand Rapids Police Department reports that on Sunday, a motorcycle crash on Division Street near Plaster Creek Boulevard at 10:45 p.m. left one motorcyclist in critical condition.

The suspect, identified only as a 27-year-old man, was arrested and taken to the Kent County Correctional Facility on charges of operating while intoxicated.

The Grand Rapids Police Department and a crash reconstructionist from the Michigan State Police are continuing to investigate and say the victim remains hospitalized but is expected to recover. Witnesses were asked to get in touch with the GRPD or MSP if they had any other information.
