Detroit, MI (October 22, 2023) - At least one person was hurt in a crash involving multiple drivers and one officer that occurred at a busy intersection in Detroit on Friday, October 20.
The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. at Lyndon Street and Strathmoor Street. The accident scene, affecting the left and center lanes, was closed once officials arrived from Engine 53, along with Detroit Police officers and three EMS Rigs. However, authorities did not release specific details about the crash's victims and their conditions, other than to say that three people were hurt.
Although emergency medical responders were sent to the scene to evaluate the victims and bring those seriously injured to the hospital, it is unknown how severe their injuries or current conditions are.
Deputies and local law enforcement are now interviewing potential witnesses and continuing to investigate.
