Detroit, MI (October 23, 2023) - After being closed for several hours due to a three-car accident and two-car fire in Clinton County, the ramp from northbound U.S. Highway 127 to I-69 westbound reopened on Monday afternoon, October 23, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The incident occurred on Monday morning, just after 6:00 a.m. The collision did not result in any fatalities, as confirmed by the Clinton County Fire Chief, though at least one person was stuck in their vehicle. Three people were ultimately taken to the hospital by emergency personnel, although their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Per authorities, it took around 30 minutes to extinguish the flames that broke out in two of the cars. No further details have been released in connection with the ongoing investigation, however.
