Detroit, MI (October 26, 2023) - After two drivers collided in a highway accident on Thursday, October 26, police restricted traffic to the left shoulder and several right lanes of Highway 39.
A handful of Michigan state troopers arrived in the vicinity of northbound Highway 39 and the I-96 exit in Detroit at around 5:15 p.m.
According to the police, at least one of the drivers was traveling too quickly for roadway conditions before losing control of their car and colliding with two or three other vehicles.
Firefighters from Detroit and state troopers from Michigan were there for several hours, though the total number of injuries victims is unknown. An investigation is active in the meantime.
