Grand Blanc Township, MI (October 26, 2023) - Grand Blanc Township Police announced that one person died in a crash Thursday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of McCandlish Road and Misty Meadows, which is located between Saginaw and Vassar roads.
According to police, the driver of a Honda SUV was making a left onto McCandlish Road from Misty Meadows and hit a Scion traveling east on McCandlish. The driver of the Scion was transported to Hurley Medical Center with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Honda was a 64-year-old male from Grand Blanc Township. He was not injured in the crash. Police say he was wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the Scion was a 34-year-old male from Flushing. Police add that he was not wearing his seatbelt.
