Detroit, MI - Injury-Causing Collision on I-96 After Beech Daly

Detroit, MI (October 27, 2023) - The left side of westbound I-96 was shut down by a multi-vehicle wreck on Friday, October 27, and the Detroit Police Department was called to the site of the crash to investigate.

According to a report from the Michigan Department of Transportation for Wayne County, the accident shut down multiple left lanes at the shoulder. Just before 9:10 p.m., the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police arrived at the site, just after the Beech Daly exit, to begin their investigation.

The Detroit Police Department also sought emergency medical help, as at least one person sustained injuries. However, it is presently unclear how many people were hurt.

Detectives from the DPD are completing their inquiry and looking for any witnesses who may have further information. No new information has been given since then.
