Gaines Twnshp, MI - Woman Hit & Killed on 68th St at Division Ave

Gaines Township, MI (October 27, 2023) - On Friday evening, October 27, a woman was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing the street.

A 48-year-old Gaines Township woman was crossing 68th Street heading north at the junction of South Division Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday when a 30-year-old woman driving a southbound Jeep turned east onto 68th Street and hit her.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, but she was declared dead shortly after arrival.

The local Traffic Safety Unit with the Gaines Township Police Department is still investigating what happened. No further details have been released in the interim.
