Lansing, MI (October 26, 2023) - A house fire on Thursday evening in Lansing, close to the corner of Miller and Wise Streets, completely destroyed a home and left a handful of the residents with minor to moderate injuries.

First responders were called to the 6000 block of Wise Rd just before 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Several fire trucks responded to the scene as the house continued to emit large amounts of smoke. Firefighters were working to put out the smoldering embers for several hours.

According to officials, neighbors saw flames coming from the home's yard. No one was seriously hurt, and no one died. However, EMTs were at the scene to evaluate those rescued from the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown in the interim.
