Detroit, MI (November 3, 2023) - After an accident on Thursday afternoon, Schoenherr Highway reopened early in the evening.

Schoenherr was shut down due to the accident at roughly 1:30 p.m., according to troopers with the Michigan State Police. Several first responders reported to the scene shortly thereafter, just ahead of the juncture with 23 Mile Road, on the northbound side of the roadway.

First responders also arrived at the site, though it is unclear how severe the victims' injuries were or the current conditions of those involved. Local law enforcement in the Detroit area is continuing their investigation, but no new details have been published as of yet.
