Farmington Hills, MI (November 7, 2023) - Police in Farmington Hills pursued a retail theft suspect to Detroit before the suspect caused a crash, per local officers.

A 2-month-old infant and its parents were in one vehicle when the suspect smashed into their car and numerous other cars during the chase. The suspect eventually hit three drivers on 8 Mile Road in Farmington Hills. The police from Farmington Hills followed the suspect into Detroit, where two additional collisions occurred around 6:00 p.m.

The infant and several other passengers were evaluated by EMS, though all victims are expected to recover.

The suspect has been apprehended, though the inquiry into the accident is still underway.
