Detroit, MI - Vehicle Crash, Injuries on I-696 at Mound Rd

Detroit, MI (November 8, 2023) - At least one person was hurt in a crash involving multiple drivers that occurred along a roadway in Detroit on Wednesday morning, November 8.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on westbound Interstate 696 at Mound Road. The accident scene was cordoned off once the Macomb County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived, and the area was eventually shut down after two passenger sedans collided.

Authorities did not release specific details about the crash's victims and their conditions, but emergency medical responders were sent to the scene to evaluate the victims and bring those seriously injured to the hospital.
