Detroit, MI (November 9, 2023) - On Thursday, about 1:00 p.m., first responders arrived at the site of an accident that occurred on Interstate 496 near U.S. Highway 127.
MDOT reported that there was no access to either of the eastbound lanes beyond Cedar Street (Exit 7). Several people sustained injuries in the incident, and all of them were sent to surrounding hospitals. Their current conditions are unknown at this time, however.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident in the interim.
