Flint, MI (November 10, 2023) - The City of Flint Police Department is looking into a possible wrong-way accident on I-475 that killed two and left another injured.
According to a press release, the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. on northbound I-475 at Broadway Boulevard on Thursday, November 9.
Per the early findings of the police investigation, a white Jeep Cherokee traveling north on I-475 was struck by a black Buick Regal traveling south. Two deaths were confirmed at the scene. The third collision victim was taken to Hurley Medical Center, where her condition was said to be serious.
Police said they have reason to suspect that drugs and alcohol contributed to the deadly collision. Witnesses were asked to contact Sergeant Matteson if they had any information on the accident.
