Detroit, MI (November 17, 2023) – A major crash reported in the metropolitan Detroit area resulted in injuries. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported the accident at around 620 p.m. on November 15.
According to reports provided by MSP, a serious collision blocked several lanes of the roadway on Interstate 696 during the evening hours on Wednesday. The crash caused extensive delays that continued approximately seven miles down the interstate as emergency crews worked to address the scene.
Medical personnel responded to care for injured victims at the scene of the crash. At least one person was then transported to an area hospital for further treatment. The police department is currently investigating the incident.
