Olive Twnshp, MI - Man Dead, Six Injured in Wreck on US 127 at Chadwick

Olive Township, MI (November 23, 2023) - Authorities say that an accident occurred on Wednesday, November 22, and claimed the life of a 33-year-old man from St. Johns.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said that the multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon on U.S. 127 Business, close to Chadwick Road in Olive Township. Deputies say two vehicles were involved in the wreck: the victim's SUV and a pickup truck, which was driven by a 51-year-old man from Dewitt. A secondary collision involving two additional drivers took place a short time later. Sparrow Hospital received two patients from the northbound SUV and two individuals from the pickup truck that was first involved in the collision. At the scene, two others were treated and released. Deputies said the 33-year-old man, who was riding in the SUV, was declared deceased at the scene. An investigation into the crash remains active.
