Rochester Hills, MI - Woman Killed, Two Hurt in Head-on Wreck on Rochester Rd

Rochester Hills, MI (November 23, 2023) - On Rochester Road, just south of the junction of Barclay Circle in Rochester Hills, a 33-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision with a pickup vehicle that had crossed the centerline.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said that the collision occurred at around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Rochester Road as a 60-year-old man from Washington Township was driving a 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck southbound. According to deputies, the vehicle partly entered the northbound lane, striking the victim's 2008 Saturn Vue. The woman was sent to a local hospital by emergency medical services, but she succumbed to her injuries, according to the deputies. Two other people are still in the hospital, where they are said to be in stable condition. The incident Reconstruction Unit of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office is now investigating the incident, which is thought to have included distracted driving.
