Wayne, MI – Crash on I-75 near Grand River Ave Ends in Injuries

Wayne, MI (February 22, 2024) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Wayne County on Wednesday evening, February 21. The Michigan State police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at approximately 9:35 p.m.

Authorities reported that vehicles collided on Interstate 75, blocking multiple northbound lanes of the road. The incident prompted the closure of the interstate between Grand River Avenue and John R Street. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported stop-and-go traffic as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. An unknown number of people were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for further care. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
